Olosega on the tiny island of Ofu in American Samoa was home to this hurricane wracked fale. It’s probably fallen down since I visited, but it’s charm remains a fond memory. Kids and dogs don’t notice what’s askew, their worlds revolve around much more important things like throwing and chasing sticks. Laughter is always heard where kids are free to roam and play. The most remote National Park includes much of Ofu and the surrounding, pristine reefs. A journey worth all the effort to experience.
One of the 30 paintings created at the public library in American Samoa and part of their permanent collection.
